POSITION: Plant Technician
Entry level position available in our Kennedy Meadows exchange, located on the eastern slope of the southern Sierra Nevada Mountains. Applicant will be assisting the exchange manager with outside plant cable and facilities additions and maintenance, switching and transmission equipment maintenance, and maintenance of the exchange office buildings and grounds. Willingness to relocate, general experience in basic electricity and electronics (AC/DC), mechanical repair, operating excavation equipment, plumbing, and basic computer skills is preferred. Applicant must possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted California Class "C" driver's license. A class "A" driver's license might need to be obtained in the future. Applicant must also have the ability to perceive difference in wire and cable color code.
